    Frequently Asked Questions

If you're considering in-home wound care for yourself or a family member, you likely have questions about how it works, what insurance covers, and what to expect. We've answered the most common ones below. If you don't see your question here, call us at (954) 477-6688 and we'll walk you through it.

    Getting Started

Does Medicare cover in-home wound care in Broward County?

Yes. We accept Original Part B Medicare. Once you have a physician's order for wound care, our team verifies your coverage before your first visit so there are no surprises. We also accept Preferred Care Partners, United Dual Choice D - SNP Plan, and WellCare.

Do I need a doctor's referral to get started?

Yes, a physician's order for wound care is required. Your primary care doctor, surgeon, or specialist can provide this. If you're unsure, call us and we'll explain exactly what your physician needs to order.

How quickly can I get a provider?

Most patients are matched with a licensed provider who can begin visits within 24 to 48 hours of receiving your physician's order and insurance information.

What information do I need before I call?

Have your physician's order, insurance card, and a description of your wound or condition ready. That's enough to get the process started.

    About Your Provider

Who are the providers in your network?

All providers in our network are licensed, insured, and vetted wound care clinicians. We do not send unlicensed aides for wound care visits — only credentialed wound care professionals.

Will I see the same provider each visit?

We aim to match you with a single provider who manages your care consistently. Continuity matters for wound healing, and we communicate this priority to our network partners.

What does the first in-home visit include?

Your provider will review your physician's orders and medical history, assess the wound, perform an initial dressing change if appropriate, and discuss the ongoing care plan with you and any caregivers present.

Are evening and weekend visits available?

Yes. Many providers in our network offer flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends to fit your needs.

    Conditions We Treat

What types of wounds can your providers treat at home?

Our network providers treat diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers (bedsores), venous leg ulcers, arterial ulcers, infected wounds, surgical wounds, traumatic wounds, slow-healing wounds, and wounds requiring Wound VAC (NPWT) therapy.

Can your providers manage a Wound VAC machine at home?

Yes. Our network includes NPWT-certified clinicians trained in foam dressing changes, device troubleshooting, and canister management for Wound VAC therapy at home.

My wound hasn't healed in months. Can you help?

Yes. Chronic and non-healing wounds are exactly the type of case our network specializes in. A licensed clinician will assess the wound and work with your physician on an evidence-based care plan.

    Logistics

Do you serve all of Broward County?

Yes. We cover all of Broward County, including Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Hollywood, Coral Springs, Pompano Beach, Davie, Miramar, Plantation, and Hallandale Beach. See our full service area at /service-areas.

What if my condition changes or I need to cancel a visit?

Contact us and we'll coordinate with your assigned provider. If your physician updates your care plan, we ensure the updated orders are communicated before the next visit.

    Is my information kept confidential?

Yes. We use HIPAA-compliant systems for all form submissions and data handling. Your information is only shared with the licensed provider partners coordinating your care.
